Pickering Manor started with a generous bequest and over the years we have received other generous bequests that have enabled us to expand our facilities and services.
Pickering Manor accepts various deferred giving options including bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of appreciated property.
Jessica Kirkpatrick left a legacy gift to Pickering Manor. With her gift, we have built the Kirkpatrick Atrium in our Skilled Nursing Unit. The indoor garden and patio offer much pleasure to our residents who are able to enjoy beautiful natural light. This place also serves as a community hub where residents and their families can gather.
Please contact Vanessa Deussing for more information about deferred giving opportunities to Pickering Manor. Also, make sure you consult your financial and/or legal advisor when considering a planned gift.
Making a stocks gift is easy and it can potentially offer tax advantages to the donor. Through this kind of giving you might be able to avoid Capital Gains tax on appreciated securities and you may be eligible to receive a tax deduction for the full market value of donated shares.
Please contact Vanessa Deussing at 215.968.3878 or via email at vdeussing@pickeringmanor.com if you would like to make this type of gift.
Pickering Manor offers its donors a charitable gift annuity program through the Univest Foundation. This program is a true win-win for both you and Pickering Manor. You can designate an amount of at least $5,000 to Pickering Manor. Pickering Manor agrees to pay you an income based on your age.
